They help to empower parents and professionals to be the best support they can be to the young people in their lives. They give young people the space and confidence to get their voices heard and change the world we live in.

    • Child Bereavement UK

      Child Bereavement UK supports families and educates professionals when a baby or child of any age dies or is dying, or when a child is facing bereavement. They provide confidential support, information and guidance to families and professionals. Their professionally trained bereavement support workers are available to take calls 9am-5pm Monday-Friday.

    • Adult Social Care Cumberland

      Adult Social Care is responsible for providing you with help to access the care and support you need, giving information, signposting, advice, and assessments. They can also help any member of the public or family who is worried about the safety of a vulnerable adult living in Cumbria. If you are at risk or suspect someone is at risk, don't ignore it. Your first point of call should be your local Adult Social Care office.

      Carers UK offer advice, information, and support to carers.

    • Carer Support Carlisle and Eden

      Carer Support Carlisle and Eden are contracted by Cumberland & Westmorland & Furness Councils to undertake Carers Assessments and develop Support Plans. They also, deliver activities, trips and other support for Young, Adult and Parent Carers.

      A Carers Assessment provides Carers with an opportunity to identify what could help them with their caring role. All Carers; Young and Adult, in the UK have a legal right to a Carers Assessment. All professionals working with Carers have a statutory obligation to ensure that Carers are given this opportunity.

      They provide information and advice to Carers and have a volunteer programme through which we can provide IT support, Sitting Service, Craft groups, lunch and coffee hubs; at which Carers meet regularly for mutual support. Young Carers can participate in school holiday trips and activities as well as receiving 1:1 support.

    • SOBS - (Survivors of Bereavement by Suicide)

      SOBS help individuals support each other, at the time of their loss and in the months and years that follow. They aim to provide safe, confidential environments where people can share their experiences and feelings, giving and gaining support from each other.

      CAMHS is a service for children, young people and families with significant, severe, complex or persistent emotional, mental health, psychological and/or relationship difficulties.

      Spiral’s aim is to prevent the effects bullying has on young people and families by providing emotional education, to give them the tools they can use to manage difficult situations and overwhelming emotions.

      Alzheimers Society are there for anyone affected by dementia, and do everything they can to keep people with dementia connected to their lives and the people who matter most. Services include dementia support, national helpline, dementia café, information programme and singing for the brain.
